Beyond the Mat

Beyond the Mat is a quarter long research study that takes a deep dive into the embodiment of martial arts. Through this course, we used a variety of design research techniques to reach equitable, desirable, and durable solutions. In this project, we developed a repertoire of techniques for gathering information, and understanding the act and process of synthesis, and translating that meaning into design action.
